FMHS Band Wins Blythewood TOB

31 bands from across South Carolina converged north of Columbia at the Blythewood Tournament of Bands on Saturday, October 17th.  Fort Mill HS was one of six bands in Class 4A.

Fort Mill won the awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best Percussion, and Best Color Guard in Class 4A.  Fort Mill placed 1st in Class 4A and won the Grand Championship:

1—Fort Mill, 89.35

2—River Bluff, 85.60

3—Clover, 82.70

4—Colleton County, 79.675

5—Ashley Ridge, 78.80

Fort Mill will not compete next Saturday (October 24th), but has an all-day rehearsal in preparation for the Bands of America Super Regional at the Georgia Dome on October 30th & 31st.  43 bands from 12 states (GA, SC, NC, TN, VA, AL, FL, TX, MD, OH, IL, MO) will compete in the two-day prelims; then the top 12 bands will advance to the Saturday evening finals.
